Moving to LA (But Staying in New York)

Announcing two new launches in June: MapLA and MapNYC

We’re excited to announce what’s next: a multi-city, multi-partner launch across the two biggest cities in the US, New York and Los Angeles! StreetCred users will compete for Bitcoin prizes as they create and update point of interest data across both cities simultaneously.

Last fall we collected over 20,000 points of interest in New York, and we’ll revisit this data to make sure it’s up-to-date and fresh. We’ll also collect many new places in both cities. For MapLA and MapNYC, we’re also working with partners to import and enrich data for participants to update in the app. Last March in Austin, we worked to improve All the Places data, but StreetCred’s goal is to allow private imports and improvements on all kinds of partner data. This is an early step in that direction that will change the game dynamics in a fun way.

We’re also fortunate and excited to announce our title sponsor for these events, Esri. For those familiar with the mapping space, Esri needs no introduction: they are the market leader in GIS software and location intelligence serving hundreds of thousands of top organizations across all industries. We’ll talk more about this collaboration soon, but we’re fortunate they recognize the opportunities around a real-time marketplace for point-of-interest data, and we’re excited to be working with them!

See you in LA and New York in June!
